Our verdict

By Sean Lupton · June 16, 2026 · Scored 9.2/10 against how we test

The Load 75 Touring is the front-loader that genuinely ends the second-car conversation — a $9,999 machine for the committed car-replacement household with the budget to match. It's for families hauling kids and cargo in all weather who want something that'll outlive a car. Anyone who won't fully retire a vehicle, or who parks in tight spaces they can't practice in, should not spend here; this is a purpose-built statement piece.

The 9.2 is carried by build and serviceability and by ride quality. Owner accounts and third-party research agree the front-loader geometry handles surprisingly well, the dual 1000Wh Bosch pack and CX motor make it all-weather usable, and the Magura MT5 4-piston brakes, front linkage and RX seatpost are all serious kit. The 5-year frame warranty underscores the durability. Its dings are value at $10K and the maneuvering learning curve — at 97 lbs, tight quarters take practice.

The compromise is cost, weight and a genuine skills ramp in exchange for a bike that replaces a car and keeps going for years. If you'll actually use it that way, it's justified. If you want front-load capacity for less, a mid-tier box bike or a long-tail like the Tern GSD does much of the job for a fraction — without the R&M build quality or all-weather composure.
