Our verdict
By Sean Lupton · April 2, 2026 · Scored 7.7/10 against how we test
The Engine Pro 2.0 is a spec-sheet special: full suspension, a 960Wh battery, and hydraulic brakes on a folding fat bike for $1,099. It suits the bargain-hunter who wants maximum hardware per dollar and has a truck, RV, or garage to store it. It is not for anyone who needs to routinely carry a folder — at 80 lb it's a folding bike in name more than practice — or who wants a polished, torque-sensor ride.
The 7.7 reflects strong value and range on paper against real weaknesses. The big battery and full suspension score well on comfort and real-world range, and hydraulic discs help brakes-and-safety. The score is held down by build-and-serviceability: this is a budget marketplace brand with a one-year warranty and thin support, and — as with every bike at this end of the market — you must verify UL certification, since not all Engwe models are listed.
The honest bottom line: you're trading long-term confidence and portability for an enormous amount of hardware up front. If you can live with the 80 lb heft and you confirm the UL listing before charging indoors, it's a lot of bike. If serviceability and safety certification matter more to you, the Aventon Sinch.2 costs more but brings a proven brand, a torque sensor, and a two-year warranty.
