Our verdict
By Sean Lupton · March 27, 2026 · Scored 7.6/10 against how we test
The Kingbull Explorer is a value fat-tire bike that leads with battery and speed — a 960Wh pack and Class 3 pace for $1,399. It suits budget riders who want long range and quick top speed and don't mind budget components or cadence-style power. Riders who prize a refined, torque-sensor ride or strong dealer support should look elsewhere; this is a spec-for-dollar play at 77 lb.
The 7.6 reflects strong value and range against weaker fundamentals. The big 960Wh battery credibly supports long rides, and hydraulic brakes plus a color display help brakes-and-safety and the feature set. The score is held back on motor-and-power-delivery — cadence-style assist rather than a torque sensor — and on build-and-serviceability, where budget components and a one-year warranty show. As with any value fat bike, you must verify UL certification, since not all units are listed.
The compromise is polish and support for battery and speed at a low price. If you confirm the UL listing and accept cadence delivery, it's a lot of range for the money. If you want a certified battery from a known brand at a similar spend, the Mokwheel Basalt or Segway Xafari cost more but bring UL 2849 certification, a torque sensor, and stronger long-term confidence.
